An aluminium roof lantern is a glazed architectural feature designed to sit on top of a flat roof, allowing natural light to flood into the space below. Typically pyramid- or ridge-shaped, roof lanterns are made up of a strong aluminium frame and large glass panels, creating a striking focal point while maximising daylight.
Aluminium is the ideal material for roof lanterns thanks to its strength, durability, and slim sightlines*, which allow for larger panes of glass and a more minimal, contemporary look. *The slim consistent 50mm rafter, hip and ridge sightlines of our S1 lantern allows the maximum amount of light in, with fewer obstructions of the view. The ultra-low line aesthetics ensure the S1 lantern looks great from all angles. The corner and rafter end caps run perfectly in line with the perimeter of the lantern.
Safe Elegance
The S1 lantern has many security features; the high-performance glazing tape adds a layer of security, integral gaskets prevent top caps slipping. The design has a unique patent pending glass lock, anti-tamper rafter fixings. The anti-tamper screw design prevents the removal of the glass. The innovative design of the S1 lantern eliminates the security weaknesses of traditional lanterns.
